Our Mission

TrackLab delivers precision single-axis solar tracking control systems for utility-scale solar farms. Every component — from embedded firmware to cloud monitoring — is designed, built, and supported by our engineering team in Gauteng, South Africa.

Engineering & Manufacturing

Our team brings together deep expertise in embedded systems, power electronics, and solar field operations. We design our own Tracker Controller Units (TCUs) and Network Control Units (NCUs), writing the firmware, PCB layouts, and enclosure specifications in-house.

The TrackLab monitoring portal gives teams browser-based visibility into field devices, configuration workflows, and operational responses across a deployment. It is designed to turn controller data into usable monitoring, reporting, and remote management workflows.

Powered by Lumax Energy

TrackLab is developed by Lumax Energy, a South African manufacturer of solar mounting structures headquartered in Midrand, Gauteng. Lumax designs and manufactures structural solutions for photovoltaic installations — from rooftop brackets to utility-scale ground mounts and single-axis tracker systems — supporting renewable energy projects across Africa.

TrackLab is the intelligent control system inside Lumax Energy's single-axis tracker. While Lumax provides the physical tracker structure engineered to local building standards and aligned to European code, TrackLab handles everything electronic: the embedded controllers, communication networks, cloud monitoring platform, and over-the-air firmware updates that keep tracker rows operating autonomously.
